College Ordinances Consultation

The trustee board of the College periodically reviews the governing documents of the College, comprising the Charter, Ordinances and By-laws, so as to ensure that they are up to date and fit for purpose.

This happens every few years and we are now seeking your views on some amendments which have been discussed by both the governance committee and trustees. An explanatory document detailing each of the changes and the proposed revised charter and ordinances are available on this page.

The consultation is open from 1^st July and will close at noon on Friday 31^st July.

In addition to these changes, trustees are also seeking your views on whether the President of the College should in future be rotated amongst specialties rather than the next one be from the same as the incumbent. Trustees will be discussing this matter later in the year and your views would inform the debate on this issue.

It is important to note that any change in this particular regard will not affect the recent presidential election or result, but would apply for the next election in 3 years-time.
