Series 2 – COVID-19 pandemic: video-based learning
The College’s COVID-19 webinar series from 2020 returns with an update on the coronavirus pandemic.
The original series in 2020 was well attended and well received. Since then, there have been many developments in diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutics and understanding of transmission, all of which are highly relevant to the practice of College fellows. With this in mind, we are very pleased to announce we will be hosting a follow up to the first series with 5 short 30-minute webinars, to run weekly from January 20 from 7pm.
Introduced and chaired again by virologist and College fellow Professor Will Irving, each seminar will be led by a subject expert and will include a 15–20-minute presentation followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions in a Q&A session.

The art and science of practical management
This series of webinars uses case based and reflective learning about the management of complex or difficult situations drawing on the theory and practical aspects of leadership and management in a healthcare setting. The series is presented by the President of the Royal College of Pathologists, Professor Jo Martin, and facilitated by the Chair of the Trainees’ Advisory Committee, Dr Matthew Clarke.
The series is aimed at trainees, new and established consultants, clinical scientists, biomedical scientists, students and staff who want to reflect on their skills, and learn some tools that may be helpful in dealing with difficult situations.
